Kordillus Vallen V (Kord)
His family name originated in honor of Emperor Kordillus Drakon I, the founder of the Chantry. Kord comes from 5 generations of Chantry Templars. When Kord was 8, his father was cast out from the templars, declared a heretic and exiled from Ferelden. Since then his family lived in Orlais with distant relatives.

At fourteen a an unknown traveler visited their home. She spoke briefly with his father and for nearly a fortnight after his father became lost in thought and deeply troubled. Then one night he left without a word, leaving his family sword behind. Kordillus Vallen IV has not been heard from since.

Always the most headstrong of his three siblings Kord, wished to strike out immediately after his father. It was all his mother could do keep him in Orlais for another three years until his siblings were old enough to help carry the burden of the small mill they managed. With his mother’s blessing he took up his family’s blade and has returned to Ferelden to discover the fate of his father. First he wishes to find his family’s home before they were exiled, then he wishes to visit the Templar branch which his family served.

As expected by a family so steeped in templar tradition, Kord is a devout believer of the Maker and servant of the Chantry.

Family: Mother, 2 younger brothers, 1 younger sister, distant cousins from when his great grandfather left Orlais for Ferelden
